Meet Ib Erik Sørensen

Ib Erik Sørensen — or Uncle Ib, as we called him — was an architect his entire life. He designed with a zest for life and a focus on how people would use his projects. It’s clearly visible in the inspiration house he created for us: a house where Hairdressers don’t just look at furniture, but feel who they are and where they’re headed. Ib understood that architecture isn’t just about space — it’s about atmosphere, flow, and the feeling of belonging. His work helps Hairdressers every single day, and we feel him in everything from the light in the ceiling to the way the rooms are connected.

Ib Erik Sørensen makes a difference

Ib designed Scandinavia's largest inspiration house for Hairdressers – and created a place where ideas grow and people dare to dream bigger. In collaboration with Just Add People he created a showroom that not only displays furniture but helps people. Ib passed away in 2025 – but his spirit and vision live on every day when new people enter the house and find inspiration, exactly as he wanted.
