People at work

A showroom made for people.

Ib designed the place where hairdressers from across Scandinavia have since found inspiration, courage and new dreams.

Meet Ib Erik Sørensen

Ib Erik Sørensen – or Uncle Ib, as we called him – was an architect all his life. He designed with joy, curiosity, and a deep focus on how people would actually use the spaces he created. You feel it in every detail of the showroom he built for us: a space where hairdressers don’t just look at furniture – they feel who they are and where they’re headed. Ib knew that architecture wasn’t just about walls and windows. It was about flow, atmosphere, and the feeling of belonging. His work continues to support hairdressers every single day – from the way light falls from the ceiling to the way each room connects to the next.

"The most important thing is to create a space where people feel good and dare to dream big."

Ib Erik Sørensen makes a difference

Ib designed Scandinavia’s largest inspiration house for hairdressers – a place where ideas grow, and people dare to think bigger. In collaboration with Just Add People, he created a showroom that doesn’t just display furniture – it supports people. Ib passed away in 2025, but his vision lives on every day, as new visitors step inside and starts to dream: exactly what he hoped for.
